Students often spend a lot of time on what materials to use. My advice would be to buy decent supplies in the beginning and have a sketchbook, sketch daily even if 15 minutes if you could do and paint at least 2-3 times a week. You will be amazed to see the progress.
Workshop Supplies
Use good watercolor paper & colors. It will give you better results and make your journey more enjoyable.
