Learn to draw cityscape and paint loose style in watercolors. Cityscape painting will give you feel for urban lifestyle, architecture, shops, figures, road and essential elements that you may see day to day but never appreciate the beauty of it.

Students often spend a lot of time on what materials to use. My advice would be to buy decent supplies in the beginning and have a sketchbook, sketch daily even if 15 minutes if you could do and paint at least 2-3 times a week. You will be amazed to see the progress.
